Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

Now that's a garden!
God has blessed us with the opportunity to plant a garden with some homeschooling and neighborhood friends. It is currently located on part of a lot we have under contract. It is our prayer that we will, someday, have a house next to this beautiful garden. In the meantime, we are having a blast gardening several times a week with friends. It is hard to believe that in less than 2 months our garden has flourished to a point of reaping tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchini and strawberries. We have eggplant, peppers and corn on the way --- not to mention the watermelon, peanuts, green beans, potatoes, jalapenos, black eyed peas, lettuce, cantaloupe, rhubarb, and honeydew ... I am sure I forgot something. We will soon have more yellow squash than we know what to do with and the tomato plants are looking really full. The chocolate mint, peppermint, and pineapple mint smell divine!! The kids are totally into the gardening thing. After our first harvest of squash and zucchini they were trying to decide who got to sleep with the vegetables - no kidding!
Welcome to bloggy land!! The garden has been such a blessing. We can't wait for the Porter crew to live next door. :)
